Thyroid nodule ablation is a minimally invasive procedure doctors use to shrink or destroy abnormal thyroid tissue. There are different methods to ablate thyroid nodules, including using radiofrequency waves, microwave waves, ultrasound, and laser. All of these methods are successful and have low complication rates. We are the only center in Utah to offer radiofrequency ablation (RFA) to treat the thyroid nodule.
